The North American Gun Dog Association supports the development of our sport through our Youth Division. We believe that the youth of today are the future of this sport. By passing along our love of hunting, dogs and the great outdoors, we believe our youth are well-served.

Each season, youth from across the nation have the opportunity to compete at NAGDA events held at local host clubs. Youth must have successfully completed their states hunters safety course to compete.  Pointing dogs and flushing dogs compete in the same division. Each youth is accompanied in the field by a parent or guardian. The youth and their dog have 15 minutes to hunt a field planted with 4 birds. The score is based on the number of bird finds, bagged birds, unused time and unused shells.

We encourage each NAGDA member to get involved and bring their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or neighborhood youth to a NAGDA event. If you have any questions or you would like to sponsor a youth in the upcoming season email us at nagda2000@gmail.com.

The North American Gun Dog Association is pleased to announce up to $1,000.00 in scholarship funding available to senior high school or college student(s) who wish to continue their education.  Click below for more information.
